GIS in Time and Space
GIS in Time and Space
Returning to America after living in Taiwan since 2018, I explore how social change derives from our shared environment and the ways by which we negotiate time and space. Through my background in futures research, I advocate that nothing is inevitable, and through my work in mapping and geospatial technologies, I make an art of illustrating the possibilities cached in our surroundings.
Before coming to Taiwan, I lived in Los Angeles, California, where I was an active member of the Los Angeles Tenants Union, and through this activism, I was introduced to GIS via the Los Angeles chapter of Anti-Eviction Mapping Project.
